Abstract: The evolutions of large language models (LLMs) and AI Agents have stimulated a widespread adoption of vector search in AIGC applications. Small/medium businesses as well as large enterprises enhance LLMs with their proprietary documents. Compared with fine-tuning, RAG (retrieval-augmented generation), is a cost-effective strategy that transforms documents into embedding vectors and stores the massive number of embeddings in a vector database, which is typically hosted in a public cloud. During this event, Dr. Ping Li, CEO of VecML, will discuss how VecML is making changes to this current practice.

Speaker: Ping Li, CEO of VecML, is a PhD from Stanford (Advised by Trevor Hastie), a former Distinguished Engineer at LinkedIn, and a former Chief Architect at Baidu (with teams in Bellevue, Sunnyvale, Beijing). Ping Li was also a professor at Cornell and Rutgers Universities and was listed by www.csrankings.org as a top researcher in machine learning and information retrieval.
